Military service comes at a high cost.
One study found 13.5 percent of 60,000 veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome. Other studies show the rate may be more than twice that.
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 20 veterans take their lives every day. Their burden proves too great to bear.
Each year, 200,000 veterans return to civilian life, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
That amounts to 1,300 veterans and their families every day, a number that is expected to grow in years to come.
They face an unknown future as eight out of 10 have no jobs lined up. They must learn to reinvent themselves and translate their skill sets into new careers.
As that number grows, so does the need.
Outfitting Them with Confidence
We can outfit our veterans with confidence so they can put their best selves forward as they navigate their new normal.
We do it because we call these brave men and women our heroes. We call them our friends. We call them our clients. And we call you to help.
Veteran Suit-Up Events
Save A Suit hosts national events to provide veterans with professional business attire as well as the services needed to pair them with employment opportunities.
We honor our veterans by providing them with a VIP experience at our suit-up events. Veterans are treated to free professional business attire and accessories.
A Veteran’s Attendant will personally work with each individual veteran. During this process, the attendant will find a suit that matches their size, style, and preference.
Think of a personal shopping experience, except it is completely FREE for veterans! The attire and services available depend on the event. These events are open to both men and women.
Note: Veterans should bring a copy of their DD 214 form or present their veteran ID for verification purposes.
